I had a wee look back today at some of my tips on my preview posts to see how successful some were.
On some preview posts I tipped correct scores, on some I tipped other outcomes including goalscorers and hat-tricks etc, on many I tipped team selections and on some preview posts I didn't predict anything.
To keep it simple I therefore kept it to correct scores and went back to season 2020/2021 and I've included all my correct score tips below.
Again to keep it simple I've calculated on a £10 stake per score.
In season 2020/2021 I had none correct and the nearest I came was predicting 0-0 versus Aberdeen when the score was 1-1.
Then in season 2021/2022 I started well with 40/1 on Celtic to beat Dundee 6-0 and then also had two Hearts correct score predictions right.
I predicted the Rangers 2-1 win at Ibrox although I got it wrong with the goalscorer (Taylor) although he scored first in the next Derby game.
I predicted 4-0 against Rangers in the last game of that season but I was just a game too early.
Into this season and I predicted 5-0, 6-0 or 7-0 versus Kilmarnock and got 5-0 at 18/1.
Therefore the totals for all the correct score predictions are;
Correct scores are not easy to predict and they are not great for getting a return on your money as bookmakers have a high margin on these bets (as opposed to some other bets, especially match win bets) but from a preview posts point of view they have been the easiest to measure.
The correct score predictions have just been a bit of fun but I thought it would be a worthwhile exercise to have a look back at how I've done. Going forward I will do one for correct scores and one for other predictions as well.
All the preview posts are there if anyone disputes the above and would like to go back and check ;)
