Hibs first goal came from a deep cross from near the halfway line and Christie's header landed back the way and then Brown barged into the Hibs player to give away a penalty. Bain saved the penalty but with Frimpong and Bitton sleeping Murphy scored the rebound. For Hibs second Frimpong was understandably beaten in the air but Bitton didn't get close enough to Nisbet's run and he slotted away for Hibs to go 2 up.




Laxalt won Celtic a handball penalty for Celtic's first and then Laxalt scored the second after being first to the break of the ball in the box after a wide free kick.


This was Diego Laxalt's first goal for Celtic.




Celtic had an NP xG of 1.7 while Hibs had an NP xG of 1.52.


Celtic had 21 shots with 12 being on target. That is 2 games in a row with over 20 shots on goal and the 12 on target was the most since the opening day of the season. Possession was 71% with 823 touches. Celtic had 8 corners and touches in the box were 27. Total Passes were 594 with a Passing accuracy of 87%. Celtic had 236 passes in the final third which was the highest in the last 8 games and possession in the final third was 34%.

Celtic went with the same team and doing so for only the 3rd time this season. Jullien and Forrest were still out injured. Turnbull was out with COVID related reason.
