Match Stats (Hibernian v Celtic)

Hibernian 1 xG 1.4

(Boyle 37) Celtic 3 xG 2.93 (Ralston 10, Carter-Vickers 14 and Kyogo 30) Before kick off our probabilities of winning the game were 60%, a defeat 17% and draw 23%.

Our team line up was; - 15 Hart - 56 Ralston, 20 Carter-Vickers, 4 Starfelt and 88 Juranovic - 18 Rogic, 42 McGregor and 14 Turnbull - 17 Jota, 8 Kyogo and 19 Johnston

One change from the weekend with Johnston coming in for Giakoumakis with Kyogo moving to the centre and Jota switching wings to the right.

Bitton, Giakoumakis and Abada came on as subs for Rogic, Johnston and Kyogo.

A vacuous stat for some but Ralston had the most touches at 93 with McGregor next on 87 and then Turnbull on 85. Usually it's our two centre halfs with the most touches and they weren't in our top three.

Most accurate passes was McGregor with 70 with Ralston and Starfelt joint second on 53. Carter-Vickers had the best accuracy with 95%. Turnbull had 5 key passes.

Top rated players were Turnbull (9.1 & 9.27), Carter-Vickers (8.3 & 8.19) and Ralston (8.0 & 8.44). For xG Kyogo had 1.11, Rogic 0.64, Ralston 0.41, Turnbull 0.34, Giakoumakis 0.14, Jota 0.9, McGregor 0.08, Carter-Vickers 0.07 and Starfelt 0.04.

For xA Turnbull had 1.05, Jota 0.66, Kyogo 0.1, Abada 0.09, Johnston 0.08 and Ralston 0.03.

Our left side and right side had an equal balance at 38% of attacks each with 24% in the centre.

59% possession overall but this was 68% at half time and 80% in the first 15 minutes.

Passing accuracy was 78% for Celtic and 78% for Hibernian. Hibernian had 9 shots at goal to Celtic's 19 and had 4 on target to Celtic's 8.

Aerials won was 53% v 47% in Celtic's favour and tackles won was 39% for Celtic and 58% for Hibernian.

Gogic should have been booked twice before his booking and it is no surprise Rogic had to be taken off. Porteous gets a red card when he doesn't make contact with the Rangers player at Ibrox and gets a yellow tonight when we makes contact with McGregor as the photos of McGregor's shin shows.
